Marcus received his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Business from Washington State University in 1999 and his law degree from University of Idaho College of Law in 2002. He was admitted to the Washington Bar in 2003. Marcus was also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington and the Washington State Supreme Court in 2003. Mr. Fry is a member of the Yakima County Bar Association, the Washington Bar Association, and the Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (“AAAA”). Marcus has received the highest rating "AV" for attorneys by Martindale-Hubble.*
Marcus has been helping create forever families for more than seventeen years. In order to become a member of AAAA, Marcus was required to perform a certain number of adoptions, including ones involving multiple states, known as Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (“ICPC”) adoptions.
Marcus has a great deal of experience in representing adoption parents in the following areas:
· Foster adoption;
· Private adoption;
· Private adoption via a match made through an adoption agency;
· International re-adoption;
· Step-parent adoption; and
· Grandparent or relative adoption.
*Washington's Supreme Court has not yet developed or recognized a credentialing process for specialties, and certification/fellowship/M-H rating is not required to practice law in this state.
